What's a Google review QR code?
A Google review QR code is a scannable image that sends customers straight to the review form for your business on Google. They point their phone camera at it, tap the link that appears, and leave their review - no typing long URLs or hunting through your profile.
QR codes work brilliantly in places where a link is awkward: at the counter, on a receipt, in a store window, or on a flyer. Every extra step loses people, so making it scan-and-go helps you collect more reviews - and more reviews help your rankings in Google local search.
Where should you put it?
- At the counter or till - customers see it while the experience is fresh
- On receipts or packaging - a gentle nudge after a good purchase
- In your store window - visible to passers-by and regulars
- On your website - use the basic QR on your own design, or the styled card as-is
- In follow-up texts or emails - if you need a link instead of a printout, try our Google review link generator
Tip: Ask when the experience is fresh. Right after the haircut, meal, job, or delivery - not weeks later.
Some questions you might have
What happens when someone scans the QR code?
They go straight to your review page. On most phones, the camera app recognises the code and offers a link. One tap opens Google's review form for your business - the same place a direct review link would take them.
Do customers need a Google account?
Usually, yes. But most people have one and are already signed in. Google needs to know the review is from a real account, so they'll ask customers to sign in if they aren't already.
Custom or basic - which should I use?
Custom is ready to print as a styled card with headline, scan message, and Google branding - great for counters and windows. Basic is a plain QR code you can drop onto your own design, website, or marketing materials.
Can I print these at any size?
Yes. Download the PNG and print at whatever size fits — from a small sticker to a large window poster. The files download at 840 × 1040 px (custom card, approx. 4.2 × 5.2 in / 10.7 × 13.2 cm) or 536 × 536 px (basic QR, approx. 2.7 × 2.7 in / 6.8 × 6.8 cm). You can scale up in your print settings, but keep the QR code sharp and leave enough white space around it so phones can scan it easily.
What if I need a link to text or email instead?
Use our link generator. The Google review link tool gives you a copyable link, ready-made messages, and share buttons for WhatsApp, email, and more - plus an optional shorter Replylight link.
What if I have more than one location?
Search for each location separately. Every branch has its own Google listing and needs its own QR code.
